pantry redo - racking up them points

Hello all.
Im here today to teach you a two fold lesson.

One - how to work the pretty vs. practical point system.
Two - pretty pantry's make mama's so happy

First let me tell you, my pantry, was chaos. I've scoured Lightroom for an old pantry photo, there were none. Thank goodness I don't have to keep it too real round here for that.

So after everything was out, then I thought of taking a photo....
I have a closet styled pantry, small, but after all the tiny homes we've lived in, Im greatful for this.

When everything came out, I was amazed at what that small space holds. Wow. Also humbled by people all over the world who struggle for a daily meal, and how blessed we are, to have a pantry, let alone to not have to worry about tomorrows dinner. I plead with you, if you have never heard this sermon about who is rich and who isn't... watch it. I assure you in this massive globe, we are indeed rich no matter how middle class we may feel. We are rich beyond measure compared to those, who struggle for basic needs. Don't ever let yourself be fooled. Your sitting somewhere on a computer, you can probably go get yourself a glass of clean water. Thats more than many. Ok back to this glutinous project.

So then we took a little Cade plays airplane break... vrooooooom.. Hes a speedy jet...

Then My mr. Taped his heart out, and painted. Approx. 2 hours. I felt unsure of color at night. Thought it didn't pop enough. So he left tape on for me to decide in the morning since 1 1/2 hours of it almost was just taping.

The next morning, I totally changed my tune. I loved it instantly. Cherry happy, yellow. I loved it.

I payed kids in cutie slices to take off the tape for me. Score.   This is pretty. And was a project just to paint. I get A point. Its not practical to paint your pantry I tell you, but it is pretty. Oh wait, I already had the paint and the cutie (and cuties) and didn't spend a dime. Rack up another point for me.

Bye bye tape.

I had totally hit up a huge Ikea organizing sale. So I made an extensive list of dry goods, and canister needs. Put our goodies up in that. And pretty pretty. I love it. I can see everything and it is pretty and practical. Im giving myself 3 points for that. But I did spend quite a dime to buy it all, I put in about $50 on baskets, bins, canisters, and can racks. So no bonus point. Bummer.

Want to see.....

Pretty huh.
I do plan on racking up another 3 points later in the week, if I can get labels on all these bad boys..... I am designing up something cute for it. Just you wait and see.....

oh wait, and this wasn't on my list. Darn Ikea and there sale.
gotta go... the mr. has out his drill, and things are being hung overhead, oh I bet you'd like to know..

*****Oh and for those of you who have prayed for me. THANK YOU. Im feeling awesome, and healthy. And so very greatful. Thank you Thank you.

I love it.
I organized mine recently too and it is still organized! And I see we have some same cool containers.

Awesome job.

I shall not covet your pantry...

Wow girl, it turned out amazing!! My pantry is similar to yours, smaller, but the same idea. I have organized and reorganized mine a few times but it's still blah and out of control. I may have to take some ideas from your awesomeness. (if only I could shop at ikea, the closest one is 7 hours away!)

Your pantry is beautiful! I've been wanting to paint mine for years, but the deep shelves are intimidating. Can I borrow your family to do it for me??
