doubley blessed

For those of you that followed the story about baby Elijah back in June. (I have a tag on my sidebar for them) An adoption story that amazed and challenged Nick and I, we were blessed to have a family (whom we had never met) come and live with us for a month while they adopted a baby out of a local childrens hospital. It was awesome, and a really really front row street, at the rollercoaster ride of adoption. One that had a lot of hoops to jump through. But Elijah, is an amazing little miracle. And we all fell head over heels fast, and realized why the rollercoaster MUST be ridden.

Well, guess who walked through my front door yesterday. THE COFFEE FAMILY. In Los Angeles to pick up another precious baby boy. Who would have thought. This story is one that is crazy cool. And a totally different situation. This has been less like a rollercoaster, and much more like the Lord simply showing them how provision looks a different way. Last time was on blind faith completely which we are asked to do so often. But this time, he has revealed himself, and provided way in advance. Its healing I think, after so much in one year. It reminds me over and over again, how the Lord knows, what we can handle, and when. And how he knows exactly what refines us, and when we need softening and pure love poured right in. And how important both end of the spectrums are.

Last night we opened our home up for an open house, for everyone who fundraised and worked so hard to get Elijah to come and say thank you, and just see how good the Lord is. Oh and to hold him. To really really hold him. Because then you fall in love. Hot pretzels (that were out of the oven way later then we promised people). And lots of hot chocolate for all.

Today the new baby gets out of the hospital, and there you have it. The Coffees essentially have twin little precious boys now. Only a few months apart. And only a couple pounds apart too. We can't wait to meet him and hold him.  Were also excited to spend a few days with them, and rejoice at all the Lord has done for them. He is so good.

On a side note: one that is making my eyes happy. I went all white and silver for Christmas. Im totally over the moon in love.
